Smothered Chicken By Katie Bell

Ingredients

4 (6 ounce) skinless, boneless chicken breast halves (I cut one breast into two of three)

Marinade:

2 tbsps lipton onion soup mix

1/2 cup boiling water

1/2 cup chicken broth

2 tbsps brown sugar

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp steak sauce

2 tbsps minced garlic

2 tsps black pepper

NEXT

1 tablespoon olive oil

5 strips of bacon chopped

3 garlic gloves chopped

1/3 cup onion, chopped

1 tablespoons of brown sugar

1/2 cup shredded cheese

1/2 tomato chopped

Directions

Marinade Chicken for at least 1 hour.

In skillet cook bacon in olive oil. Use a slotted spoon and set them on a plate with a paper towel.

Cook chicken in skillet along with a portion of marinade, till it has a nice golden color. Add salt while cooking.

Sauté onion and brown sugar in bacon grease. You can also add some green onions and chopped garlic for extra flavor. Brush over chicken, add bacon on top

Bake at 350 for 15 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked. Add cheese and cook another 5 minutes.

Chop up tomato and put in on top of the chicken. Amazing with Garlic Mash Potatoes!
